At 9 oclock sharp we were there at the harbour of spodsbjerg. Today would we the big day for catching some serious fish.

Before we went to the harbour we visit the local fishingshop for buying some seeworms and gaining some advice what tactics we would use for today. When arriving to the fishingshop we asked for lines for cot fishing at first he wanted to give us fake wurms but as we like to fish we live seaworms he gave us different kind of lines for cot fishing with lead that was like 300 grams. So after that we went to the harbour.

The guy of the boat renting was already smiling at us when he saw us driving up to the harbour. I already knew it then today would be the perfect day to go out with the boat there was less wind as yesterday and the sky was blue again:). a perfect day to rent the boat of 60 euro's. It was the cheapest one they got coz we didnot wanted to spent anymore money on our fishing day. This boat was just perfect for the conditions of this day. When it is a bit more windy it is advicable to rent a boat which has a bit more luxery coz of the waves u come across when u sailing with the boat.

So we checked in with the guy and he told us also today u going to catch some fish for sure. He putted the aquipment in the boat. 2 lifevest, a gun for when u are in trouble, a bucket for the fish, a anker the gasseline ofcourse, a compass and a pass for when u are done with the fishing so u can go into a room to clean the fish. We would rent the boat from 9 o clock in the morning to 9 o clock the next day. Before u go away on the boat the guy over there explains to u what are the best spots to fish and a must say they are easy to find. So i think the location of spodsbjerg harbour is just perfect for the fishing over there.

Then after 3 hours of fishing something happened we were hoping for to happen. A huge fish found my friend wurm at 25 mtrs. deep.. look how the fishing rod is bending. Unfortunately after 15 min. of wrestling the fish he let go of the hook. But i have to be honest the material we were fishing with was too light. we could not get him up coz our reel was too small and our lines to thin. With a fish like this size i would advice a good reel and a line that doesnot break. I think if u really want to catch such a big one u should go to the guy of the fishingshop and ask him what to use to get such things up. i felt the fish and i would not be surprised the fish was about 40 kg. or more.

And if u think this happens only once. U ARE WRONG. Coz after one hour the same thing happened to me. So i thought now is my change to wrestle the big fish. Well at first he was coming up. So i thought i was in luck i would get him up. So in my fantasy the fish was already on the boat. But after gaining 2 mtrs. in getting the fish up he was starting to fight back. And yes then it happens. The line broke :(( But atleast we got 2 changes in getting a huge fish. As we didnot succeed was coz we werenot prepared with our materials so i strongly advice u. Get ur equipment right before u take such a trip. This way u will not be as disappointed as we were when missing the fish.
